5 Mysterious And Crazy Bedbug Facts You Should Not Miss Out On
Bedbugs are more than a simple annoyance. The tiny little creatures love to feed on humans. They cause red bumps and itchy sore spots on the body, leading to rashes or more if we aren’t careful. The bedbugs crawl all over and bite us as we are blissfully unaware of their presence in our sleep. What’s more, getting rid of these pesky creatures seems to be really hard. They have a strong determination to not leave us in peace.
Do you know that there are quite a few mysterious and lesser-known facts about bedbugs? Getting to know your enemy is a great way to win a fight, isn’t it? And when the bedbugs are the enemy, we’ve got to know as much as we can about them.
Mysterious and Crazy Facts about Bedbugs
Bedbugs Can Survive Without Food For Long Durations
Yeah, they can, and we are talking about ‘long durations’ like a year or even up to a year and a half. Bedbugs go into a nice slumber (seems more like a coma, doesn’t it?) and not wake up for months altogether.
Then one day, you decide to sleep on the mattress, and the heat from your body and the carbon dioxide you release wakes them up. They find the food ready for them and feast on your blood with glee, fill their tummies, and go back to hide again.
During this stage, they digest the food, mate, and lay eggs to increase their population. Just because you haven’t found a bedbug for a while doesn’t mean it’s not enjoying the beauty sleep hidden in the layers of your mattress.
Bedbugs are Smart and Methodical
These teeny creatures are highly disciplined. For one, they have super survival instincts. You’ll rarely find a bedbug out in the daylight. They hide in creaks, crevices, gaps, and corners where light cannot reach, let alone our vision. You shouldn’t be surprised if you accidentally find one crawling away after taking apart a picture frame or removing a switchplate.
Secondly, bedbugs more or less have a fixed feeding pattern. They feed on their human prey for 5-10 minutes, take a break, and come back again from another round of feeding. That’s how it’s easy to identify a bedbug infestation by looking at the bite patterns on your body. The marks are either in clusters or in rows, mostly on the exposed parts of your body.
We Have Mutated Bedbugs That are Resistant to Common Pesticides
Sounds like a Sci-fi movie with growing crawlies, doesn’t it? But that’s the truth. With people using insecticides and pesticides to get rid of bedbugs, these creatures have developed a resistance to it and mutated themselves to become stronger.
There’s no guarantee that the can of insecticide you have at home will effectively kill these creatures. Moreover, the bedbugs can survive even in extreme temperatures. You need to go for definite methods. And the best way to keep away the bedbugs is through effective pest extermination by a known or trusted service provider. The companies use special techniques to kill these pesky creatures once and for all.
Bedbugs and Anesthesia for Painless Feasting
Most of us don’t even know when this creepy little thing has sucked our blood. That’s because the saliva of a bedbug doubles up as an anesthetic.
It increases the blood flow to the bite so that the bedbug can happily consume your blood in less time, and you wouldn’t even know until the next morning. Almost makes us feel relieved that the bedbugs haven’t grown larger, right?
Bedbugs are Not Limited to Beds
This is flash news for many of us. Though they live in beds, they sure aren’t averse to exploring the environment around them. Also, bedbugs don’t essentially have a special love for hotel beds. You can find them even at home, hostels, colleges, schools, buses, trains, cars, movie theaters, and just about any place where it is convenient to hide and feast on unsuspecting humans.
Moreover, bedbugs are not an urban phenomenon. You can find them across the country and they use humans and clothes as their means of transportation. One of them would have gotten into your clothes and ridden all the way to another place. Terrifying but true.
Don’t be surprised if you find bedbug infestation in common areas too. It means that the entire place has been their lair for a while and that you need to call the pest controller without further delay.
Conclusion
Remember that having a clean area doesn’t necessarily mean that no bedbugs are hiding in your house or office. Though tidying up will make it hard for them to hide, you might still find a couple or more biting into your skin at night. Don’t hesitate to call the pest controller when you notice bedbug bites. Your safety should be your priority.

How To Install Greenhouse Accessories
Installing a greenhouse down the bottom of your garden with plans to grow all of the fruit and vegetables to feed your family across the whole year is only just part of your purchase. You will need to add a selection of greenhouse accessories to enable your food production to work effectively.
When you search the various greenhouse kit companies across the Internet, you should look at the greenhouse accessories that they have available because they may offer them to you at a bundled price when you purchase a greenhouse. This will also save on any shipping costs if any are applicable because a number of companies offer free deliveries.
When you start with an empty greenhouse, unless you have some suitable shelving already available, you will need to add benches and shelves to your unit. This will help you add row after row of growing facilities for your fruit and vegetables and make it easier for you to regularly check on progress without having to bend down and look into boxes on the floor.
While it isn’t essential to add electricity to your greenhouse it does make for a very useful accessory. For a start, if you haven’t already purchased a solar panel for your greenhouse’s roof, electricity is extremely useful to power lighting in your greenhouse if you are a person that likes to potter about early in the morning or late in the afternoon across the winter months when it is almost dark outside.
Electricity can also power ventilation systems because you will need to ventilate your greenhouse to cut down on the growth of mould and mildew.
Some people suggest that you need to add grow lights to your greenhouse, especially for use during those dark periods of the year since your fruit and vegetables will prefer good sunlight from up to 12 hours a day so that it can stimulate the flowering of healthy plants. If you intend to raise any tropical plants in your greenhouse, it is essential that you add to the lighting up period of the day.
To provide an element of ventilation moving through your greenhouses, you can leave the doors open for part of the day, but adding louvre vents at the opposite end of the greenhouse provides a nice flow for air, which will help for a steady growth of your plants.
When the sun is particularly hot, your greenhouse will be pleased that you have louvre vents to let the hot air out and relieve some of the pressure on the plants to stay alive when they are burning and asking for water.
Although you can use the old-fashioned method of adding a watering can to your greenhouse accessories list of purchases, you can go upmarket and purchase a number of different of types of watering systems.
You can purchase a mist and cool system which reads the temperature in your greenhouse and when it is too hot, it will release a fine mist into the air which will cool down the temperature for your plants.
Who says that greenhouses or an old idea; they’re very much high-tech these days.

Step Three.

Step Five.
Once the stain begins to lift, rinse and repeat as necessary.
It is important to understand that there really is no quick solution to mildew removal but, that doesn’t mean you need to give up and replace your bath. With a little old-fashioned elbow grease and effort, mildew can be removed using only warm water, cream cleanser and abrasive sponge. Cream cleanser is the preferred solution to combat mildew as it clings to the affected areas. A liquid cleanser is likely to run down the drain before you get a chance to clean the mildew. It is important to use gloves at all times to protect your hands from the cleanser.
Keep up the hard work and continue scrubbing aggressively until the mildew stain is lifted. You can always take a break, let the cleanser sit on the stain for a while, and come back when you are ready to try again. If the stain is difficult and you still seem to be making little progress, try using a metal scourer. A metal scourer gives you more cleaning power but be careful. If you have a porcelain tub, a metal scourer could scratch the surface and become a breeding ground for more mildew. Porcelain tubs are best handled with care. Rinse and repeat the cleaning process as needed.
For harder to reach areas, try using a toothbrush. A toothbrush will allow you to scrub small corners and spaces where mildew can hide. Once you have finished cleaning, discard dirty water and enjoy your clean bathroom. Tackling tough mildew stains can be intimidating but, if you try hard enough, the stains will eventually lift and reveal a clean surface. Regular mildew cleanings will help you combat the development of mildew and keep your bathroom looking bright. You may not be able to stop mildew but now you have the know-how to get rid of it.

1. Let a Chi Flow
Energy flows by a room like H2O in a tide — quickly by a deepest channels, some-more solemnly along a bank, and not during all in that raise of junk in a corner. Plan your room’s blueprint with a eye of a feng shui practitioner: discharge low areas like half-completed projects or piles of unfolded laundry, make certain closets aren’t overcrowded, and keep a passageways around your room easy to navigate and giveaway from confusion to let a chi flow.
2. Design For a Five Senses
Your bedroom is your preserve from a storm. Delight a 5 senses by stuffing it with anything soft, sensuous, or soothing: soothing rugs for your cold feet, a lush mistake fur throw, feathery down pillows and duvets, scents from essential oils, a luxe velvet robe, a softest silk negligee, a cluster of candles or a low wattage lamp, and a record actor with an aged record collection watchful nearby.
3. Watch Out For Sha Chi
Sha Chi is anything upsetting that brings disastrous energy: a sharp raise of unwashed laundry, oppressive beyond lighting, clutter, dirt, or soiled bed linens. Charge your phone or inscription elsewhere to discharge neglected captivating radiation, and arise adult to a boundless (no parasite tock!) time with a light alarm like this one. Rid your room of anything dangerous, such as a precarious roof fan or a shelf with complicated objects mounted over your head.
4. Balance a Masculine and Feminine
Make certain a yin and a yang are represented in equal measure. This doesn’t meant that your room has to demeanour like a waste hotel room; a idea is to make it welcoming to both genders. Balance a floral coverlet with a leather case during a feet of a bed, or span a raise of festooned pillows with a Pendleton nap chuck opposite a bottom of a bed.
5. Bed Placement Is Key
Where we place your bed is really vicious in feng shui. Choose a wrong wall and we risk a prolonged fibre of nervous nights. The trail from your bedroom doorway to a window has a strongest upsurge of energy; keep your bed out of this trail if possible. Positioning your bed in front of a window is a large feng shui no-no. Ideally we should have a plain headboard or wall behind your bed (no erratic chain either), a tiny list or chair on possibly side for support, and a low dais or a case during a feet of a bed.

If your bedroom is a balmy beachside retreat, afterwards frail stiff linens and light blue accents will feel cold and lovely in contrast. If, on a other hand, your bedroom is in a snowy mountaintop lodge, accents of comfortable reds, dim woods, and golden lamplight will yield most indispensable warmth.
8. Avoid a Bedroom Office
A bedroom is no place for an office. A artistic corner, maybe, though a technology-filled, deadline-driven, unconstrained to-do list office? A consistent sign of your unread inbox does not favour rest or intimacy. Because the kitchen is a place that you cook that food comes in contact with it is really best that you use these safer cleaning methods. Sometimes kettles will accumulate lime scale. Just fill your kettle with water and half a cup of vinegar and let it sit over night then give it a good rinse to remove lime. For a quicker fix you can also boil water and a bit of vinegar.
How To Organize Under Your Bathroom Sink
Is the area under your bathroom jumbled up and you are unable to find what you need? Do you continually purchase items and then later find them under your sink? It might be time to organize the space under the sink in your bathroom. By organizing this space you will be able to locate what you need quickly and will prevent you from double buying items.
To start you need to pull everything out from under your bathroom sink. Go through each item and throw away items that you don’t use or are empty. Items that you purchased but did not like or don’t want to keep you need to throw out. The majority of clutter under the bathroom sink is items that are placed there but never used. Combine items that are the same but just in different bottles. Cutting down on the clutter is the key to this step.
Now you are ready to separate all your remaining items into categories. Combine all hair products and all cleaning products. Since this is your own personal space, organize the contents to suit your personal needs.
Now you want to purchase baskets or containers to store the different items in. Consier clear totes with slide out drawers or clear baskets. This will enable you to see that is in the container and access it easily without taking everything out of the cabinet. By storing the similar items in containers it will also prevent items from being knocked around and thrown to the back of the cabinet where they can be forgotten. Keep all similar items together in one basket or drawer to ensure you are able to find what you need quickly and easily. You may also want to place hooks on the inside of your cabinet doors. This will give you a little extra space to store any necessary items as well. When purchasing containers consider the room under your sink. If you have more room you may want containers that will stack. Also put smaller items into containers to eliminate their boxes. These items may include Q-tips or cotton balls.
Once you have all your items separated and placed into appropriate containers, you are ready to place them back under your sink. When placing the baskets back under the cabinet, you want to place items that you use daily toward the front. Then place items that you will only occasionally need to access toward the back. This will ensure that you don’t have to hunt for the items that you will need in your daily routine.
You may also want to consider storing large or bulky items such as toilet tissue in a closet instead of under the sink. These large items take up valuable storage space.
By throwing away unwanted items and combining items that are similar. Then organizing the remaining items into groups and placing them in appropriate containers, you can save both time and money. You will not be spending extra time to hunt items under your sink while getting ready and you will not be purchasing extra items just to realize you already have it.
